I was always interested in reading Saints quotes and kept browsing the internet to find them. It was a spiritual hunger . Then I stumbled upon Saints quotes and it was like I had hit the jackpot!!  Cheesy I'm not sure we had the forum then. I remember emailing Saint's quotes to Shin as a contribution to the site and he would reply with a big thank you! I was going through a very tough period in life and this little site with the quotes sustained me.  Some months later Shin emailed me an invitation to a forum he had started. I was not too excited because I was happy just reading the quotes and I am not too social by nature. I joined out of curiosity and here I am. Is it 3 years now?  It is a family of faith here and I won't leave even if Shin asks me to.  Grin (which I know he won't)

How did you stumble upon this great place? Feel free to share.  tea  Cheesy

Shin invited me from CAF.
I had started the thread, “Saint of the day and Feast days” and I guess his love of the saints made him a regular contributor to the thread and I got to look forward to his comments.  He suggested I come over and maybe even start the same thread here.  At first I was reluctant because I had become a prayer warrior over there and had subscribed to several prayer threads that took up a chunk of the time I spent on line.  In those early days too I was just beginning to  read about the saints and get to know and love them; I had also joine a Bible Study Group; so I did not want to add to that. He knew I would love the forum so he sent a message to the effect that I did not know what I was missing.
That did it for me. I did not want to miss anything. The reason I joined CAF was to learn about our Faith.  Smiley
I tried to register but ran into some problems. Sent Shin a depressing note that I was not meant to join the forum as my attempts at registration was unsuccessful. His reply: "All good things require some effort!"   Grin
With his help, I am here and loving it!
Thumbs up to you Shin. thumbs up thumbs up

I have really loved reading this thread.  flower

It makes me think back to the beginning of this all. How I really appreciated getting quotes in the emails -- And seeing folks who appreciate the saints every day.

Yes there's a lot to think about and be grateful for before Heaven!

I may have been looking for info on saints, but it's possible I found you through many traditional Catholic sites I was investigating at that time.  Serendipity.  Smiley

Happily, Shin invited me.  Otherwise I wouldn't have known about this forum.  I also had some difficulty registering but I think I was answering one of the bot questions incorrectly.   shy  How could I not know that red and blue is purple!?!  I'm looking forward to my time here.

I saw Shin and the Saints' Discussion Forums from the Fisheaters Forum and decided to join. I am quite contented and happy with this forum and decided to add to the list of forums that I frequent  Smiley.

I asked a question on CAF about praying The Chaplet of St. Michael
and Shin sent me an invitation to this site.
I am very happy to be here! I love reading CAF,and post a little, but I prefer the quiet and cozy feel of this site.   tea kanpai
It is so loaded with gems from our Saints and has so much information that I still haven't read thru it all. teapot
It makes sense, my county has about 3,000 people, my town has 180, and my parish has 47. planter gardener planter littlepigeons
