Title: I feel lost
Post by: Jacki on December 03, 2010, 11:24:15 AM
I was looking up "the oldest Christian religion" to see if people put Catholic and I saw nothing but slams from Protestants about Catholicism and how this is wrong and blah blah. It upsets me because America needs to wake up. They need to stop fighting our own brothers in Christ and look at the big picture. America has TONS of agnostics/atheists and even more alarmingly, we have plenty of people who call themselves Christians but do not practice. Instead I see Christians spend their energy fighting other Christians over nothing. Do they not realize that even though our biggest threat, the Muslim religion, is multiplying x 8 on the other side of the world, about to take over our Christians nations? This is a fact. I pray and hope that this does not happen but we need people to stop fighting each other and love our fellow brothers in Christ as well as show non believers Christ's love. I just don't understand this country. It has so much hate...and where those do not hate they have pure apathy...which breeds Demon's play. Like I read before, the only hope we have in this broken world, is Jesus Christ. Oh, Scared Heart of Jesus, my Savior, please pray for the unity of our churches as you prayed during the last supper, and please may your love overwhelm those nonbelievers to see your infinite mercy and passion. In your name, Amen. St. Raphael, Mother Mary, St. Gabriel, St. Antony, Mother Teresa, Padre Pio, please pray for my family and please pray for the Unity of our Lord's Church!

With Jesus, Mary, and all the Saints (as my friend said on this forum) "what an army we belong to!"   but sometimes why do I feel like this world is so lost...such little faith I have :(

We know that we are of God, and the whole world is seated in wickedness.

St. John 5:19

Whosoever therefore will be a friend of this world, becometh an enemy of God.

St. James 4:4

And this is the judgment: because the light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than the light: for their works were evil.

St. John 3:19

Now is the judgment of the world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.

St. John 12:31

And when he is come, he will convince the world of sin, and of justice, and of judgment.

St. John 16:8

A woman, when she is in labour, hath sorrow, because her hour is come; but when she hath brought forth the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world.

St. John 16:21

The first quotes agree with you, however the last two give hope.

Sometimes I feel lost too but not to the point of despair.  It is the grace of perseverance we must implore from God in these evil times, especially during Mass and the holy Rosary. :crucifix:

"A house divided against itself cannot stand"

I'm only worried about the factions within the Catholic Church and I have promised to do my part to work against it.  This forum is an example of unity.
I think Jacki that these kinds of worries are not productive.  I stop myself when I get discouraged and remember two things: "my Immaculate heart will triumph" and "Nothing can separate us from the love of Christ; neither powers or principalities, or......."  ( can someone find that verse?  the pizza is ready  ::))  thanks.

For I am sure that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor might, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
(Romans 8: 38,39)

For I, the LORD your God,
I am holding you by the right hand,
I tell you, Do not be afraid,
I will help you.’
Do not be afraid, Jacob, poor worm,
Israel, puny mite,
I will help you,- it is the Lord who speaks.
The Holy One of Israel is your redeemer

(Isaiah 41: 13,14)

I opened the Bible and read this one time when I had to confront a situation which I really wanted to run away from. This gave me the courage to do so.
