Title: Baptism, Emergency Baptisms, Miscarriages, Etc. Refresher
Post by: Shin on March 27, 2011, 08:32:53 PM
I would simply like to bring this to everyone's mind again, it's good to have a refresher..

There are times when we are morally obliged to baptize, in cases of emergency. We should know what these are, and how to do it.

Here's a sermon on baptism and emergency baptism. (http://www.audiosancto.org/sermon/20080101-On-Baptism.html) It's a total refresher course if you need it. Most everyone probably does.

I know it's always helpful to me to reinstill in my heart and memory.

And here's a pamphlet (http://www.saintsworks.net/books/Pamphlet%20-%20Miscarriage%20Baptism.pdf) on baptism in the cases of miscarriages and how to do it properly - I'm going to provide here, thanks to the good people who originally provided it.

Of course if it is not an emergency a priest must do it, highly preferably with the old rite I might add, which has the proper exorcism prayers along with the baptism - this both for adults and little children and infants.
