Title: Poem on St. Philomena and St. John Vianney Post by: Mary Ann on June 16, 2011, 04:48:52 AM This is a poem that I am still working on. I would appreciate your feedback on it.
The word curé is French and is pronounced CuRay. It is important to say it this way or the poem will come out sounding wrong. The word means parish priest. It is not the English word cure which means heal. Saint Philomena and Saint John Vianney (poem) In the small country village of Ars a beautiful friendship did grow. The curé called upon a saint and miracles did flow. Go to Saint Philomena, the curé told those in need. The little saint answered their prayers with generosity and speed. Favours and miracles on Ars were showered and the spiritual life of the people flowered. From Ars Saint Philomena became known everywhere. Saint Philomena brings hope to those in despair. by Mary Ann Matulis My email address is: catacomb@bigpond.com Please put the words: Poem feedback in the subject line. Thank you.
