I man I used to do work for many years ago saw me in town today and called to me. I hardly recognized him but thankfully it suddenly dawned on me who he was. I remebered that when I last talked to him he was not practising his faith but he began to tell me about his daughter who is 15 yrs old and recently diagnosed with a rare form of Cancer. He told me it has turned his life around and that of his wife and he now prays the rosary every day and visits the Blesssed Sacrament daily, pleading with God to heal his daughter.

I was so moved by all that he told me and he all but begged for prayers. I told him that I know many good people who will pray for his daughter and would be in contact with them today. So dear family in Christ will you remember this intention. The girls name is Rachel. Thank you all so much.

I will offer up prayers for her and her family!

 For so many years you bore in your own flesh this cancerous disease that destroys the very fiber of our being, and who had recourse to the source of all grace when the power of man could do no more.
 You were favored with the vision of Jesus coming down from His Cross to heal your affliction.
 Ask of God and Our Lady, the cure of Rachel whom we entrust to you.
Aided in this way by your powerful intercession, we shall sing to God, now and for all eternity, a song of gratitude for His great goodness and mercy.
 Amen!

It is through the Cross that we turn to God.  I will pray the Rosary for Rachel's cure and for her parents' perseverance in prayer and holiness.  Lord have mercy on the suffering! :crucifix:

I've had an update on Rachel's progress and the news is good.
The cancer is not as untreatable as was first diagnosed and apparently the doctors are scratching their heads.
We of course know why this is so. Thanks be to God.  :angelbell: :principalities: :harp:

Thank you all for your prayers dear friends and a big thankyou from the parents of Rachel. The family are overwhelmed to know that prayers are being offered for their daughter by people they don't even know in other parts of the world. I'll keep you' informed as I learn more.

We continue to pray for Rachel. Martin please let us know how she is doing. Surprising, but it is my 6 yr old who pipes in during the Rosary intentions saying " Mama lets pray for Rachel who has cancer".  :crucifix:

I just talked to my late husband's colleague at work.I wanted to see if he has any dentist contacts at church since he is active in church. 2 years back he had visited for condolences and offered help and brought  in registration forms from the Church. Now he tells me he is divorced and his wife left him for another man. They have kids. Please pray for this family that the wife (who is also Catholic) may come back and restore the family.  :(

Lord, please restore this family and heal them.  May this husband and wife reconcile and have peace.

If He wants to, He heals us. Sometimes all He wants is for us to cry out to Him as Hezekiah did.

Prayers requested for Mercy and Jennifer who were in a car crash because of drunk driving. Both are in the ICU and in critical condition. I hear Mercy is a Catholic . My teenager knows them. Lord have mercy!  :crucifix:

My daughter just got back from the hospital. Mercy can recognise people. Thanks be to God! The doctors were just saying that she may not be normal but looks like they are wrong.  The girls  ran a red light and crashed into a truck. Mercy's face is completely messed up . This is going to be a wake up call for her this Lent.  We were just talking about her excessive  partying and drinking the other day. Looks like my daughter is learning  a few lessons too from this incident. Pray for this girl's spiritual conversion and my daughter's too!

I had a recent update on Rachel's condition.
She has gone through treatment which the doctors are very pleased with and this coming Tues she will be having surgery to remove the tumor which I'm told has shrunk quite significantly.
Would you all be so kind as to remember her in prayer especially on Tuesday.

Divine Mercy, source of miracles and wonders, I trust in You!

May I ask for prayers for three women who will be welcomed into the Dominican Order via our Chapter ,(Fra Angelico Chapter), on July 14th. Prayers for strength and perseverance.
