Title: Please pray for Vicky
Post by: Brigid on February 19, 2010, 06:20:42 PM
If you will read the thread called, "Can We Ever Do Enough For Lent?", you will see why she and her daughter need our prayers. Please.

Prayers here! I offered up the 15 Prayers of St. Bridget last night!

Psalm 132
of the Psalter of the Blessed Virgin Mary
by St. Bonaventure

Behold how good and how pleasant, O Mary, it is:
to love thy name.

Thy name is as oil poured out, and as an aromatic fragrance:
to those who love it.

How great is the multitude of thy sweetness, O Lady:
which thou hast prepared for those who love and hope in thee.

Be a refuge to the poor in tribulation:
because thou art a staff to the poor and wretched.

Let them, I beseech thee, find grace with God:
who invoke thy help in their needs.

awe-shucks you guys are great! :tinyangel:
Please, while you're at it pray for my poor itchy, calamine covered, missing out on helping at the Knights of Columbus and
missing the last drill meet of the season: daughter! She's just a bit too young to understand and embrace what an opportunity this is to suffer with Our Lord at this special time.

Thank you again everyone! :angelblue:

Chicken Pocks has me down and out.  Maybe next week it'll be better.  Please keep up the

My prayers for you and yours are continuing :pathead: :+:. Does the doctor say the chicken pox should be letting up next week? How is your sleep (and mania) doing. Have you let your Pdoc know about the added stress?

Thank you so much for your prayers, but also your informed and interested questions.
Cp is on the down side, all scabbed up for the most part but my sweet kid's face is just
rough to look at!  I can't send a 14yr old to high school looking this bad, so she'll be home and
pretty functional thru Fri.  She'll be attending a Confirmation Conference this weekend.
As for me, it's so sweet you even think of me!  I get all wrapped up in her and forget to, so bless you! :+:
I take elephant tranquillizers  to sleep so I'm sleeping okay, it's the running up and down the stairs that's killing this old(er) lady!
Thank you, Thank you everyone for all your prayers - the worst is over!  No casualties! :gunfight:
Thank you, God and our Blessed Mother for helping me be a better mother! :angelbell:

Oh, the poor child! Are you giving her oatmeal baths to relieve the itching?

Prayers for Vicky.   :+:

I confess I did cheat yesterday when I saw this thread as I put my own ......and read back.  I think it's OK to break a Lenten commitment for good reason and I think this is.......lots of talk about bipolar illness back there on the other thread........ my two cents, then I wil be off again .........
bipolar illness is very treatable
once moods stabilized, here is a terrific workbook for prevention:  The Bipolar Workbook: Tools for Controlling Your Mood Swings by Monica Ramirez Basco, PhD.   Very, very useful.  Now back to my retreat.

Prayers for Vicky.   :+: :+: :+:
