Nothing like a tongue twister to bring a smile to our faces. :)
Here is one for this Easter Sunday.

Betty Botter bought a bit of butter.
The bit of butter Betty Botter bought was bitter.
Said Betty Botter:
"If I buy a bit of better butter, it will make my bitter butter better".
So Betty Botter bought a bit of better butter and her bitter butter was better! ;D

Oh no this is too much for me!  ;D

The faster said, the better. ;D

This is a true real-life tongue twister.

In Ireland there's a tradition that when a person dies, a month later the family will request a Mass be offered for the deceased soul. It is commonly known as a Months Mind.
This particular woman who's elderly mother had recently passed away, asked me if I could contact a priest who I knew quite well and ask if he would offer Mass for her deceased mother.
I had the priest's number at home so I called him. After about three fumbling attempts I finally got stating my request to the priest. I asked him if he would be the celebrant at Maggie Mounts mother's months mind Mass.

Odhiambo, surprisingly I can say the betty Botter tongue twister very fast! Call me if you want to hear me say that super fast. ;D

We call it Months mind Mass in India too...... O:)

What I find funny is the way I am struggling to say the sentence and am completely unable. Anyone listening would be forgiven for thinking I am speaking a strange language, not English at all.

I think the trick is to say it as if you are  narrating it to someone else;  it flows quite naturally then :)

Swan swam over the sea,
Swim, swan, swim!
Swan swam back again
Well swum, swan!

I know, very unfair of me.
It is a swahili one for "What is making you unhappy"?
It is a real tongue twister that one, even to the speakers of the language which I am not. ;D

AHHHH! I am quite bad with this sort of thing. I get tongue tied with normal things to say easily enough! This sort of thing has me blabbering like an idiot!
