Title: Scam Spam Warning Post by: Shin on June 30, 2012, 07:48:00 PM We had a spammer get through the system and solicit before being banned and deleted today.
The scam message was a typical one, beginning with the words: "I am Mrs Justina Edwards from Sierra Leone,When my late husband was alive, he deposited the sum of $1.2 Million (USD) dollars in a Local Bank here in Lome, Togo." This is the first time we have had one of these solicit before being banned. At least two members so far have reported being solicited. Please do not reply to these solicitations. In response, the registration security is being updated again, and I am looking into possible further restrictions on new users being able to send messages. |
