This past week The Holy Spirit has come up repeatedly to my attention. Not in actual appearance, no of course not, I wish :crucifix:.
I wanted to be turning to Him more frequently in prayer than I have done to date, so I started to look for suitable prayers to that effect. I always resort to prayers from prayer books because I am very poor at spontaneous prayers. I can never put to words what is in my heart.  I envy those lucky people who are able to come up with the most appropriate prayers at any given time and occasion  :)
That same day, someone, a Christian, not Catholic, sent me a sermon on the Holy Spirit. The next day, a member of a MailCircle I belong to circulated a Daily Thought which was touching on the Holy Spirit!
I thought to myself, why not start this thread and dedicate it to The Holy Spirit.
 All our prayers to Him, those of saints and others gifted in prayers, we will pray and post them here so that it has a large collection of  prayers  to The Holy Spirit. :crucifix:

O Holy Spirit,
Soul of my soul,
I adore You.
 Enlighten, guide, strengthen and console me.
Tell me what I ought to do and command me to do it.

O God,
send forth your Holy Spirit into my heart that I may perceive, into my mind that I may remember, and into my soul that I may meditate. Inspire me to speak with piety, holiness, tenderness and mercy. I've always enjoyed the Holy Spirit novenas. There's a long one and a short one.

Oh Holy Spirit,
You are the Third Person of the Blessed Trinity.
 You are the Spirit of truth, love and holiness,
 proceeding from the Father and the Son, and equal to Them in all things.
 I adore You and love You with all my heart.
 Teach me to know and to seek God, by whom and for whom I was created.
 Fill my heart with a holy fear and a great love for Him.
 Give me compunction and patience, and do not let me fall into sin.

Increase faith, hope and charity in me and bring forth in me all the virtues proper to my state of life.

Prayer for the Gifts of the Holy Spirit 2

O HOLY SPIRIT, grant me the
Gift of Wisdom,
the supernatural light in which I may know God more clearly as
the Supreme Being, His omnipotence, His eternity, His goodness and His glory, and that I may taste and enjoy
with an enraptured soul the ineffable sweetness of His love.

O Holy Spirit, impart to me the
Gift of Understanding,
the clear light revealing to my mind the mysteries of
