Hello everyone! I found my way to this forum while searching for the first edition Douay-Rheims Bible. From what I see, the original edition is scanned and available on the internet as a pdf, but it hasn't been retyped by anyone for public use. I know someone retyped it with updated spelling and is offering a download of the full NT and OT 75$ USD, but I feel such an important document should be available publicly and for free. I know there are many Catholics who would appreciate having access to a readable and printable version of the document, which could even be presented in parallel with the vulgate. Obviously, producing such a document would most likely only be possible if it was done through the collaboration of many people, which is why I come to you today with this proposal. If you would be interested in such a project, please reply to this thread.
