The current heads of these lines, and thus the main pretenders, are Louis Alphonse de Bourbon, Prince Jean, Duke of Vendôme, and Prince Napoleon, respectively.
The house of Bourbon are the nearest direct male descendents of Louis 14 from King Philip V of Spain The House of Orleans are descended from King Louis Phillippie the last king of France -also a descendent of Lous 14 The House of Bonaparte is ironically both descended in the female line descendents of Louis 14 from King Philip V of Spain [Bourbon] and from King Louis Phillippie [Orleans] Title: Re: Best claim to the throne of France?
