Title: New Traffic Law: Move Over Post by: Shin on March 28, 2010, 08:29:48 PM If a patrol car is pulled over to the side of the road, you have to change to the next lane (away from the stopped vehicle) or slow down by 20 mph. Every state except New York, Hawaii, Maryland and the D.C. has some variation of this law.
This law was put into effect to make it safer for police and emergency personnel to work. Thanks to Lou B and Willy and Wilma for the heads up! Title: Re: New Traffic Law: Move Over Post by: Brigid on March 28, 2010, 09:23:59 PM :-[ Well, that's good to know, since I haven't been doing that - OOPS!
