Psalm 118 D
of the Psalter of the Blessed Virgin Mary
by St. Bonaventure

Thou hast done well with thy servant, O Lady:
and because of this the angels rejoice.

Teach me the discipline of thy manners and thy equity:
because I have believed in thy words above all others.

It is good for me that with thy burden thou hast humbled me:
that I may follow thy conversation.

Those who love thy servants, shall be venerated:
but he who shall hate them, will fall in eternity.

Let the drops of thy clemency ever fall upon me from above, and I shall live:
for thy holy law is my meditation.

Around 1200 AD. those psalms especially devoted to Our Lady began fashioning the "Rosarium"
in her honor composing Marian Psalms closely modified after their Davidian counterparts.
