Title: for Bailey2 Post by: Bailey2 on May 27, 2010, 10:02:46 AM I posted this already and it didn't post so I'll try again.
This one is for me. I am shell-shocked and haven't slept for a few days now (probably why I am so cranky; sorry) The kids this time of year as they face going home for the summer tell me things no one wants to hear; especially the ones who are going to Juarez, Mexico to visit family. Please pray they come back alright. If you guys only knew what drug cartels are like............... in fact, pray for all of them........ Title: Re: for Bailey2 Post by: Bailey2 on May 27, 2010, 05:30:57 PM Thank you!
Shell-shock........... now I really understand why my sp. dir. is so adamant that my way to holiness is taking better care of myself! :brickwall: I am much better........ spiritual reading and laundry. Laundry is so therapeutic....... :D So, no more prayers for Bailey, just for the children. In my reading today I fell upon stories of two women. Catherine de Hueck Doherty, who was wealthy and had to flee during the Russian revolution only later to start Madonna House in Canada and Betty Chinn, who in southern China at 7 in 1966 watched her brother and his wife shot by the Red Guard. Her mother was put in prison somewhere and she and her little sister were taken to a labor camp and treated like animals before she was rescued 4 yrs later. She recently won an award for her work with the poor here in USA. So, children who experience these things can rise above with God's grace; and that is a good thing to pray for......... :) :+: Title: Re: for Bailey2 Post by: Shin on May 28, 2010, 10:24:23 AM Laundry is therapeutic, I agree!
I am always moved by the stories of people suffering during the Chinese revolution, and too Russia. Ave Maria! Our Lady of Fatima, ora pro nobis! "O God, I believe, I adore, I hope, and I love you. I ask pardon for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not hope and do not love you." Title: Re: for Bailey2 Post by: Brigid on May 28, 2010, 02:56:09 PM Ave Maria!
