Title: Quote for the Day: Since God Wishes It
Post by: Shin on July 29, 2010, 01:52:07 PM
'Since God wishes it - there is nothing to be done. . . Why should you thus torment yourself? Get rid of whatever He shows you to be an obstacle to His love, for His only desire is that you should live stripped of all that is not Himself.'

St. Margaret Mary Alacoque

I'm beginning to see this more and more that less really is more when it comes to retaining ones peace of heart. Everything we own is in one way or another a kind of burden. Even the things we deem necessary like a car or other such conveniences can become sources of agitation. So many of the things we own only contribute to us living life at an unnaturally fast pace and we don't seem to have any more spare time on our hands than our parents or grand parents had. If anything we have less.
Less time for family, less time for leisure and even less time for God.
Ahh.. sigh for the good old days.  ::)
