Our Lady lamented to St. Bridget that very few consoled Her by
meditating on Her Sorrows, and “that the greater part of the world
lived in forgetfulness of them: ‘I look around at all who are on earth,
to see if by chance there are any who pity Me, and meditate upon My
Sorrows; and I find that there are very few. Therefore, My daughter,
though I am forgotten by many, at least do you not forget Me; consider
My anguish, and imitate, as far as you can, My grief.’

Hello,
I have a great love and affinity to Our Lady.  I am Consecrated thru Her to Jesus, I pray the Rosary Daily and I pray the Little Office Nightly.  That said, some people (like Me :biggrin:)
have a tendency to dwell on the sad, sorrowful, down right depressing parts of our Catholic faith rather than The Resurrection and the Good News.  As we approach Lent, I would like to encourage each person to respect their own nature or personality type.
  When our family came back to the Church, a great little older guy that we knew welcomed us back and said something I really embraced - Holy Mother Church is a BIG ocean with room enough for every one. :angelblue:
I do care for our Lady and Her Sorrows, she knows I do.  I guess I just want to support anyone who isn't ready for some of the Sorrowful parts, or to much depth.

FYI - in the Little Office (the one from the D-R and 1961 Editio Typica of the Roman Breviary, that EWTN sells) in Lauds - Office 1 - there are a couple very joyous and praising Psalms.

Yep! (There are some older and newer versions due to the recent Motus Proprio is all, which is why I differentiated.) The Little Office starts my day off right. Later, I do my Rosary, though I haven't seen the Chaplet of the Seven Sorrows of Mary.

 I have a very beautiful crystal bead chaplet of the Seven Sorrows of our Lady.  :cheers: I don't want
it.  I never asked for it.  It would not be healthy in my prayer life.  It is very pretty and comes with a pamphlet on prayer.  If you would promise to include me in your prayer when you pray
it  (this is what I was told by the person who gave it to me), I would love to send it to you!  If you really wanted it?  Contact me if you would like to work something out. :thumbsup:

Something to ponder upon and compassionate Our Blessed Mother about..... In his sermon our parish priest told us that tradition (with a lower case 't') has it that when Our Lady was presented the myrrh by the Wise men she preserved it for 33 years and used it at the burial of Her Son, Our Lord.  :crucifix:
