Post by: Shin on December 17, 2014, 02:55:25 AM
A reminder of a very important instructional article:

How to Baptize in Case of Miscarriage
 (http://saintsworks.net/Pamphlet%20-%20How%20to%20Baptize%20in%20Case%20of%20Miscarriage.htm)
A significant percentage of pregnancies end in miscarriage according to various medical studies, and most people do not realize how common it is. It would in fact be exceptional for a married couple to not experience a miscarriage over the course of their lives.

"In every case of miscarriage, no matter at what stage of pregnancy, the fetus must be baptized; absolutely, if it's certainly alive; conditionally, if the presence of life is doubtful."

And so it is part of the duties of the married to know how to baptize in case of miscarriage, and perform an emergency baptism.
