For the Easter Season, white symbolizes the hope of the resurrection.
The gold symbolizes the light of the world brought by the risen Christ that enlightens the world.

For the Easter Season I have noticed that for the Gospel Acclamation for Sunday Mass,
the three Alleluias sung are the same exact Alleluias sung in O Sons and Daughters.

The Paschal Candle is a central symbol of the divine light, which is Christ.

In the Gospels, the precise details of the Easter narrative vary slightly. Above all, they agree that the tomb of Christ was indeed empty.

The resurrection of Jesus is a magnificent event that shows the realization of the Christian faith.
In 1 Corinthians 15:17, Saint Paul wrote that "unless Christ rose from the dead, our faith is in vain."

as in Mark Chapter 16 Verse 8. They return and tell the disciples about their experience.
The initial reaction to the testimony of the women is disbelief.

My 1964 Divine Office which was published by the Order of St Benedict, Inc of Collegeville, MN, includes an Octave of Easter.  From Monday after Easter through Wednesday are called Days of Rogation and Thursday is the Ascension of our Lord, although most of my notes and my Parish Calendar show the Ascension either on May 9 or the Sunday following.  The Calendar indicates an Easter Season with six Sundays.  I pray to find a clarifying description.

Please disregard my previous post about the timing of the Ascension which I thought I found in my Office.  I had been comparing the text with that in my Liturgy of Hours, and foolishly lost my place in the Office without realizing it.  Trying to understand the two works as well as a computer website appears to transcend my mental capacity.  I'll go back and reread Shin's quote for the day, increasing my prayers for assistance.

Please forgive me if this comment seems a bit excessive, but I'm feeling it is a quite amazing coincidence that you're continuing these posts in celebration of the Easter Season, and I'm reading them with great joy because you are helping to extend the Easter Season, which so much of the world seems to quickly walk away from, just as many people walk quickly away from the Christmas season.  For many years I have struggled to actively read my Divine Office through both Advent and Lent, usually stopping soon after both holidays, but your posts have kept me reading fairly regularly until now, and I am very grateful to you.  I wish there was much more celebration in the Church of the events of these days, Jesus' appearances at Emmaus, the cenacle, Mt Tabor, Mt Olivet, the Sea of Galilee, and of course Pentecost.
