Because St Isidore went to mass every day, he was accused of slacking off. The land owner went to that part of the farm and hid himself to see what was going on. He saw the farm animals working on thei own guided by unseen hands while Isidore was at mass.

The Christmas wreath was originally hung as a symbol of Jesus.
The holly represents his crown of thorns and the red berries represent the blood he shed.

Conturbare cave, non est placare suave, diffamare cave, nam revocare grave,

In 1058 King Henry I of France was selling bishoprics and abbacies.
He ignored the accusations of tyranny by the Papal legate Cardinal Humbert.

I wonder where he is today. There is a reason we pray for the poor souls in Purgatory.

On November 1, 1223, King Louis VIII of France issued an ordinance that prohibited his officials from recording debts owed to Jews.

I don't think that there is anything admirable about stealing from other people. Using the color of law to steal is even worse.

A Papal decree concerning the donations of the faithful at Mass is attributed to Pope Urban I.

In the third century, St Cyprian scolded a wealthy woman for not giving enough of a donation during mass.

Pope Telesphorus was the bishop of Rome from 126 to 137.
The celebration of Easter on Sundays is attributed to him.

The Gloria is also attributed to him also.

Is Coptic Orthodox a break away from Greek Orthodox?

As far as I know with Orthodox that broke away from the Catholic Church, there are lots of similarities except for two things.

1.  For Catholics, the trinity is basically an equilateral triangle.  Therefore, 3 persons, one nature, all are equal.  With Orthodoxy, the trinity is the Father, then the Son, then the Holy Spirit. To draw it would be the Father, then an arrow downwards to the Son, and then an arrow downwards to the Holy Spirit.

2.  They don't have a pope. Or maybe it is more correct to say that they don't acknowledge our pope as their pope.

The Coptic Orthodox church is a break away from the Catholic Church at the Council of Chalcedon in 451. The issue at that time was heresy of Monophysiticism. part of the issue at the time was a greater self determination from the Roman Empire.

St Vadim pray for us
He lived in Persia with seven other monks, his disciples. King Shahpurhr II or Sapor decided to persecute the Christians and they were all arrested, then cruelly tortured. Another Christian prisoner, Prince Nersan, faced with these tortures, preferred apostasy to keep his life. He was granted his freedom on condition that Vadim disappeared. Nersan came to the prison, but trembling with emotion, he could not behead Saint Vadim with one blow. So he hit him all over the body, tearing him to pieces in excruciating pain which Saint Vadim endured with patience and seeking to convert Nersan: "Why do you have to be my executioner?"
