Prayer to Saint Joseph to Obtain a Conversion:

O Glorious Patriarch St. Joseph, who merited to be called "just" by the Holy Ghost, I urgently recommend to thee the soul of my uncle Martin, which Jesus redeemed at the price of His Precious Blood.   Thou knowest how deplorable is the state and how unhappy the life of those who have banished this loving Saviour from their hearts, and how greatly they are exposed to the danger of losing Him eternally.   Permit not, I beseech thee, that a soul so dear to me should continue any longer in its evil ways; preserve it from the danger that threatens it; touch the heart of this prodigal child and conduct him back to the bosom of the fondest of fathers.  Abandon him not, I implore thee, till though hast opened to him the gates of the heavenly city, where he will praise and bless the throughout eternity for the happiness which he will owe to thy powerful intercession. Amen.

Ave Maria, gratia plena,
Dominus tecum,
benedicta tu in mulieribus,
et benedictus fructus ventris tui Iesus.
Sancta Maria mater Dei,
ora pro nobis peccatoribus, nunc, et in hora mortis nostrae.
Amen

Hello everyone,

Please pray for my uncle's conversion.  He is a fallen away Catholic, but I know there is still a deep love for Christ and His Church.   We had a family get together yesterday and after a brief discussion, I handed him a rosary.  He stared at the crucifix, kissed it, and then made the sign of the cross with it.  He then asked me to recite the Apostles Creed, the Hail Mary, and the Glory Be.  He then asked what time Mass was on Sunday!   I know he is close, I know God is knocking on his heart, and I know he still needs more prayers!    Please keep him in your rosaries and other prayers.

O Mary Queen of our Hearts, advocate of the most hopeless cases; Mother so pure, so compassionate, Mother of Divine Love and full of Divine Light, I place in thy tender hands the favors which I ask of Thee today.  (food for the poor who need it so badly)

Behold our miseries, our hearts, our tears, our interior trials and sufferings! We know that Thou canst hear us through the merits of Thy Divine Son Jesus Christ. We promise, if we are heard, to spread Thy Glory, and to make Thee known under the title of Mary Queen of our Hearts and Queen of the entire universe.

We beseech Thee to grant us our requests, at Thy Altar, where each day Thou givest such manifold proofs of Thy power and Love for the health of the soul and body.

We shall hope against all hope, O Mary Queen. Our Queen, ask of Jesus our cure, our pardon and our final perseverance.

O Mary Queen of our hearts, cure us, we have confidence in Thee. (Repeat 3 times).

I'm happy to have rid my life of cable; however, after getting a Blu-Ray player with streaming video you quickly see you've just exchanged one horrible thing for another.  Nowadays I'm asking God to remove TV from my life.   First plan of attack is to limit the amount during the days and to limit the amount of days in the week.   Wednesday and Fridays are going to be no TV days and hopefully with God's grace I will start adding more and more days to this.   Last lent I only used the TV to watch religious movies and programs.   It was the best lent I've ever had.

I've been trying to practice it, but I'm so easily distracted.  I've purchased a Haydock Bible and I must admit this has helped tremendously, since I can now read the commentary after each verse.  This has helped me better understand what it is I'm reading and it has slowed down how fast I get through each chapter Grin
