My dietary temptations could use a little violence.

Standstill for me. 

I've prayed a rosary daily for 11 years, 3 decades during Lent. I just have trouble remembering what we're supposed to be meditating on for each decade.  I have it written down somewhere, it's just finding my glasses in the dark.     I have a nice CD in Latin - Fr. Patrick Perez says it so nicely, but on the Rosary in Stained Glass from EWTN they tell you what to pray for, Annunciation-humility, Visitation-brotherly love, etc.  I have to get that one.

Every quote of his I've ever read makes me think what a sweet and gentle man he must have been (even after all those hours in the confessional!), and he always reminds of the "good" God.

I've found spiritual communions during the day helpful since I don't get to mass during the week.   

My favorite priest.  In my saints book it says he was to be made a knight of the Legion of Honor and he said, "Suppose I die and God says 'away you go - you have already been rewarded!'"

Chapter 12 - The devil watched Antony and gnashed his teeth against him....He set wild beasts on him ...hyenas in that desert, coming out from their dens, surrounded Antony.  He was in their midst, and each with open mouth threatened to bite him.  But knowing the enemy's craft, he said to them all, "...if you are sent by devils, delay not, but go, for I am Christ's servant." 
On this they fled, his words chasing them like a whip. 

He had put on the armor of faith.  St. Antony, pray for the Christians of Egypt.
