Three Salutation to Mary
Consecration to Mary
from Our Lady Book and the Manual of the Sodality of the Blessed Virgin

I.

Daughter of God the Father,
O Virgin pure and mild;
I venerate and love thee,
Accept me for thy child;
My soul and all its powers
I consecrate to thee;
Be pleas'd, most holy Mother,
From sin to keep me free.

Be pleased, most holy Mother,
To pray our Lord for me.

II.

Mother of our Redeemer,
O Virgin pure and mild ;
I venerate and love thee,
Accept me for thy child ;
My body and its senses
I consecrate to thee;
Be pleas'd, most holy Mother,
From sin to keep me free.

Be pleased, most holy Mother,
To pray our Lord for me.

III.

Spouse of the Holy Spirit,
O Virgin, pure and mild ;
I venerate and love thee,
Accept me for thy child,
My heart and its affections
I consecrate to thee;
Be pleas'd, most holy Mother,
From sin to keep me free.

Be pleased, most holy Mother,
To pray our Lord for me.

Amen.

There should be some more rare treasure of Our Lady's arriving over the next few weeks, as both Our Lady Book and the Manual of the Sodality have a good deal to provide for us.

When you find old black Catholic devotional books in antique and rare book shoppes, you've found rare treasure often enough.  crucifix

Those are the sweetest Mary prayers.  Smiley
I have a missal from 1959.  There is so much in it - about vestments, the vessels used at the altar, different masses, liturgical colors, etc.  Then each day has a sentence or two from the Imitation of Christ. I sometimes just read it at home, I like it so much.  How do kids today learn all these things if they don't go to a Catholic school?  They have no missals anymore  Sad

Unfortunately, the education in Catholic schools can be pretty non-religious now.

We need to reprint the old books. I know some small presses do so.

Every parish should be full of them. The books of the saints. The old traditional religious works.
