Non Catholics Receiving Holy Communion in Cathoilc Churches.
«

It has recently come to my knowledge that in some Catholic churches, non Catholics attending Mass are invited to partake of Holy Communion as brothers and sisters in Christ.
Is anyone here aware of this and how widespread is it?
Has the official teaching on this subject been changed?

It has always been the case that the Catholic church allowed some people who were not Catholic to recieve the sacraments of Holy communion, confession, and annointing of the sick under certain conditions.
1 - that they belong to communities which have valid sacraments, (i.e. the Eastern Orthodox)
2 - that there is no priest of that community available.
3 - that they ask for these sacraments of their own accord
Protestants do not fall into this category of communities which would allow this type of communicatio in sacris.

I think that perhaps the Novus Ordo, ecumenism, and the "Second Vatican Council" are a couple of the main factors for this...
Many Catholics don't believe in the Holy Eucharist being more than just "bread and wine" now, and then on top of this; many people like to try and claim that Protestants are actually Catholics - since they were baptized and are of good will.
It is all very sad...
We must pray to God for the Church to return to Her days of Glory! :-)

No this is not in fact true, the idea that it could be acceptable is another innovation.

That would be called participating in, or inviting the sin of sacrilegious Communion.
'They who make a sacrilegious Communion receive Satan and Jesus Christ into their hearts - Satan, that they may let him rule, and Jesus Christ, that they may offer Him in sacrifice as a Victim to Satan.'
St. Cyril of Alexandria

I originally saw this in a source which was written long before Vatican II.

One other thing is that all danger of indifferentism must be eliminated.
