Discipleship is modeling and teaching Christians the precepts of the Bible:
mainly prayer, doctrine, Christian living, and worship.

This post was a wonderful inspiration and catalyst for me for meditation, perhaps nearly to the level of contemplation, almost before I fully realized I had been so deeply in thought.  Our view and practice of meditation is so important, and yet my mind wandered to the disunity of Christianity and the many varieties of teachings are offered about it.  Let's pray for progress toward unity.

Discipleship literally means to be a student under a master or teacher. Christian discipleship is being a student of our Divine Master and Teacher, our Lord Jesus Christ
He says that we shall be known to be His disciples by our love. The Apostles and the entire Church are given the Great Commission to go out into the world and make disciples of every people, nation, tribe and tongue and to teach them everything that Christ has commanded and how to keep all the Commandments through Love. For those who accept and believe the Gospel we are to instruct them in the Way of the All Holy Undivided Trinity and baptize them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. To all who believe, repentance leading to eternal salvation in the name of Jesus Christ is proclaimed and to the unrepentant, unending fire is revealed.

Jesus said, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples."

Discipleship is also about teaching biblical precepts, while modeling and guiding others
toward living righteously as followers of Jesus.
