    Humility = Truth
    Love = Self sacrifice

We could add other simple definitions to the list  as we find them.
The saints say it so well.

Yes, balance. And I also think that everyone receives when there is sacrifice of yourself. That sacrifice doesn't need to be one that degrades the person. That is not true sacrifice, I think. I believe what she is talking about is reaching out to another rather than shutting them out. Whether that means refusing to enable someone in their addiction any more or controlling yourself when your children act up.
