Our son's friend died of a heroin overdose two days ago.  That makes 7 victims since last June 2010 from our high school.  Our son and this young man weren't that close anymore since they ended up with different friends.  Anyway, he was 18, had been in rehab 3 months and stayed clean for several weeks after that.  He begged his family that they let him move away.  The family was to move next week.  But it is now too late.  Sad.  Let us pray for him, for the other 6, and for all kids under the grip of this terrible drug.

Lord, have mercy on the souls of the seven deceased students, and comfort their families in their sorrow.  May those who are suffering from drug abuse cry out to you for help and abandon their every dangerous habit.  Thank you, Lord, for hearing my prayer.
