Taize prayer service is based on the style of prayer at Taize in France, an ecumenical monastery.
It involves chant, often based on Gregorian chant and singing.
             Prayers are sung and chanted.
There is a period of silence.
             There are liturgical readings.

How sad to hear of such a thing.

One does not incorporate Protestant prayers into Catholic worship.
