You have quite the website, Shin!   Deo gratias and kudos to you!

Best of the best I have often thought. We are blessed to be the ones to enjoy the fruits of his hard labour.
Thank you Shin. At a guess, your treasures up there would make you a billionaire down here.  Smiley

Be thankful for the little time you get to be with Him at Adoration. cherubim

This thought had come to my mind a few days ago when my father had repeated two days in a row in conversation that he prefers quality to quantity.  In his statement I heard God telling me that I, too, should prefer my quality of time in adoration more to my quantity of time, and that I should be grateful for the time I get to be with Him in adoration.  Thank you for your help!  BTW, if any person's prayer intention on these forums has made me think of divine Providence your prayer intention for the preservation of your vision has.  I remember when I first prayed for you a while back I had thought about divine Providence working in your situation and how no matter what God has happen to you it will happen because it is the very best thing for your salvation.  Thus I was not worried for you but trusted that God, who loves you inestimably, would only and always do what is best for you.  You of all people would benefit greatly from reading De Caussade.  God bless you!

Thanks Therese.
I am actually going through the list of books in the "Misc. Works" section as per Shin's post but I have not seen it. I want to get down to reading it as soon as possible.
Yes, I know that God, who loves us very much, allows us to go through difficulties. I have reasoned and accepted that He does this for our own sanctification. We may not see it. I like to compare it with a mother who takes her child for a painful jab in order to avoid a dreaded infectious illness. The child has no idea why her mom allowed her to be injected and looks at her reproachfully; some combatant kids, I have seen, even strike out at their moms blaming them for the whole experience. Sad

You know what divine Providence is about, Odhiambo.  Unfortunately, many souls lack this understanding that you have and are very sad and angry because of it.  Some even turn to atheism because they lack a sound understanding of divine Providence.  How ignorance can ruin lives!

God bless you, and Mary keep you!

Thanks Therese.

I am in a situation that is very difficult and makes me feel like I am not getting what I need--I am not being permitted time before Jesus in the tabernacle like I used to have ... not because of my duties or schedule or anything like that, but because the only chapel I can pray before the Blessed Sacrament is a private chapel with restrictions ... I am allowed only very little time in the chapel (a little time before Mass and a 15 minute thanksgiving after Holy Communion).  What a trial this is because I am being deprived of time and prayer in the presence of God Himself, and I used to be able to enjoy good time with Him before the tabernacle!  Can you offer me any helpful feedback to assist me?  I know that our Lord gives us all that we need, so I know that my feeling like I do not have what I need is not justified.  Shin has already given me a most excellent response in a personal message to me, but I am wondering if others have good and helpful words of wisdom for me, to add to his.  Shin, please contribute more if you can and wish to.  God bless you all!

Sometimes God takes good things away from us to make us appreciate them all the more.

This is sort of like how He often hides Himself from us and seems distant so we will appreciate His love when we are blessed with it.

It is hard though...  The chapel I go to is about an hour away from where I live, so I generally able to attend only on Sundays and Holy Days.

Please pray for us, and we will pray for you!  :-)

Yes, a good point I had already thought of before in this situation of mine.  The funny thing is that I had already had such a very great appreciation for time with our Lord before the tabernacle.  A very, very great appreciation!  Now it appears that I need to have a greater appreciation for our Lord spiritually present within me, His temple.  If I can do like St. Catherine of Siena and make a perfect oratory of myself, seeing I can't have much chapel time; then I'll be very happy in my situation and will make great spiritual progress.  I believe that this is what our Lord is asking of me and he showed this to me in a special way through my patroness St. Catherine, who was also restricted from chapel time.  Anyway, I'll pray for you and for your family, and I thank you for your prayers for me!  God bless you!
