Today, August 15th is the Feast of the Assumption.
On this day begins St. Michael's Lent.

St. Michael's Lent is a devotion in honor of St. Michael the Archangel.
It is a forty day period of fasting, prayer, and penance that runs from the Feast of the Assumption
on August 15 to St. Michael's feast day om September 29.
