I have strong reservations about posting this, but I have long felt Jung was one of the most honest of all psychiatrists, and he seemed open and sincere in his efforts to understand the Divine Trinity and the Word of Revelation.  Obviously, he didn't get many things right, but I am reminded of Jesus' parable of the tax collector and the Pharisee in the temple, especially thinking of Shin's recent post of the quote by St Vincent de Paul to the extent that he had never had an erroneous belief.  Perhaps God will forgive Jung, who consistently maintained he was Christian and frequently seemed to try to reconcile teachings about the Soul with those about the unconscious, and many other religious issues.
If I comment further, I hope you will forgive me and even counter-comment.
I'm home from camp now, happily amid all my books and files, but seriously distracted (temporarily) from efforts to understand and practice Contemplation, unless one thinks as Jung did that dreams, visions, fantasies, and intuitions can be instructive and valuable.

My friend this is a forum for saints books and religious books studies not Jung I'm afraid. I understand you're interested in studying his material and have some questions but it's really more the sort of thing for private discussion one on one via email with or other ways outside of the forum.

This is a forum for saints works, not secular works, and I must add pre-Vatican II, I only temporarily allow the flawed works from later from forum participants to a limited degree out of tolerance due to people not understanding the current situation of the Church today.

One of the goals of this place is to be a refuge from the corruption ongoing today, like peaceful monastery in the wilderness.

Psychiatry really is a mixed kettle of fish these days -- certainly Freud was a degenerate and a criminal, and yet he is regarded as one of the founders. He would arrested in normal times for his work and put in jail. I haven't really looked at the others, really nowadays though psychiatry is mostly about the medical and prescriptions and psychology is the side of counseling and therapy and there are various schools of varying usefuless, some less some more flawed, all generally lacking any true foundation due to their separation from God and understanding of the soul. There are some rare people who try fix things and bring a true foundation to it.

I fully respect your feelings and will not comment further, nor in a similar vein.
