St Idesbald (1100-67) was a canon at St Walburga Church at Furnes, later a monk at Our Lady of the Dunes Monastery near Dunkirk, France. He was named cantor, then elected abbot in 1155.  His feast in 4/18.  St Idesbald, please pray for us.

The feast of St Joseph of Cupertino (1603-63) is today, and he is the patron  of air travelers and pilots because more than 70 levitation miracles were reported reliably witnessed.  He was transferred several times to increasingly isolated Capuchin friaries because his fame spread all over Europe, including Assisi from 1639 to 1653.  St Joseph, please pray for us.
