Two new short books on vocations have been added to Saints' Books.

A Vincentian Father - Vocations Explained
&
St. Alphonsus Maria de Liguori - Vocation to the Religious State

They have their own special section entitled 'Vocations' which was created for them and future works.

Both are well worth reading, and easy to read.

Since the subject of vocations is one widely not understood in these times, these two little books will help especially for both young and old who have a choice of vocation open to them in life and have yet to make a decision.

As St. Alphonsus Maria de Liguori tells us:

'It is evident that our eternal salvation depends principally upon the choice of our state of life. Father Granada calls this choice, the main wheel of our whole existence. If the principal wheel of a clock is deranged the whole clock is out of order. So it is with the business of our salvation; a mistake with regard to our state of life, says St. Gregory of Naziansen, will disturb our whole career. If then, we wish to secure our eternal salvation, we must embrace that state of life to which God calls us. . . '

Our salvation so much depends upon us entering into the state in life God desires for us. So too, by learning about how vocations are discerned we can help others find their way to their proper state.

So understanding how vocations are discerned is essential reading for all.

Please let us know if you find any editorial errors or difficulties with these new works, so corrections can be made.

Deo gratias et Mariae semper Virgini.  crucifix

What absolutely wonderful books to put in. Wink I can imagine very few that won't read at least some of those.
