I've noticed I've been lagging behind on keeping the quotes up to date with Saints' Quotes lately, I have a large file of 'to be edited' quotations.

What would help would be if I had different quote software, that allowed a form submission of quotes, which I could then edit, simply click 'approve' on, or delete as the administrator.

I've been hunting around and there are a good number of random quote generator programs out there, but none that checks all the boxes of what is needed in how it works.

So, I'd like to ask for a prayer that I find the best software for the site, and administrate the site well. Small thing.. doubtlessly implicit in our prayers for each other already.. but sometimes it helps to ask specifically. Smiley

Oh yes, and the software would have a 'search' form which would help people search for quotes on their favorite subjects! Cheesy

Brigid's idea! Very helpful no?  flower

I may have to have a programmer custom make it for us if I can't find it, which seems strange because it is such basic software but so far I can't find anything that meets all the criteria and works efficiently!

I'm glad the idea may have been helpful for you and I'll certainly pray that you find just the software program that you're looking for. cross prayer cross prayer

Still looking for this!

Basically what I want us to wind up with, one way or another, is WYSIWYG web page editing.. i.e. you can edit web pages just like you can edit posts here on the forums, or even more easily, and a nice series of three searchable quotes/prayers/books databases...

These will rather surely have to be two separate software suites, one for the web pages, the others for the 3 databases.

And they'll make it easy for anyone of any technical ability to do updates and suchlike. The websites will become even more community collaboration friendly. Cheesy
