See that calendar! Look up!  Roll Eyes

I've made it postable now, even for regular members!   Smiley

I had to push a few little buttons.

One tries the 'post event' button and now you can post it directly to the calendar, or link the calender event to a post in the forums. Smiley

If there's any special day you want to note on the calendar, put it there! Feel free.  Cheesy Regular user, moderator, it doesn't matter.

This is a one time thing, so any event you post will only appear that one time on the calendar.

So for a reoccurring event like a birthday it's best to just put it in your profile, or ask me to do it.

If you put your birthday in your profile it will automatically appear on the calendar!  Shocked  Grin

This may be scary for some users and happy surprise for others!  Shocked Shocked Shocked  Wink

But guess what.. You can put only the month and day your birthday appear, and not the year in your profile, you can leave that zero.. and the birthday will show up, but your age won't next to it.  Cool But feel free to fill out all the information too. We won't be scared, and the AARP and funeral homes will not send you any emails, I guarantee it!

At least, if they do, it won't be my fault!

I can set up a reoccurring event in the calendar but for some reason I can't delegate this ability to a moderator or other user.  Huh?

C'est la virtual vie! It's a feature not a bug they tell me!

The calendar does not have a lot on it so far. It's not a sophisticated one so I can't put up all the religious floating holidays on it. Perhaps I'll be able to modify it someday to do this, but so far, it's pretty much like a paper calendar. You can post events on it, and that is about that. Smiley

I'd love to have a full featured liturgical calendar, but that will have to be a piccolo sogno for now!

Fixed a little bug I believe, if you had trouble posting to the calendar, try again! Smiley

Just a reminder folks, if you're a member you can add special days to the public calendar for all to see.

You can fill in your favorite saints' feast days for example, or when special novenas start.

And you can look ahead towards when fellow members birthdays are.

So go ahead and try out the calendar!  Cheesy

The button is right up top there!
