Victor Hugo wasn't a good man?? I had NO Idea, I read his books and wondered what religion he was because he seemed very wise when it came to God, I will take them off but if someone wants to give me a history lesson about him I would be all ears!
Ah well, it's a difficult subject. Good decision!
I think a little searching on the Internet will reveal the problems! I don't know how deep they go, but they loomed large, and I'm sure there's good there as well as the problems. Every problems have some. I don't need to go far into his difficulties, you can if you wish to study yourself.. but there's too much to go through for perhaps a little good, mixed in with evil. There's no time for that, it's not worth it, and no one has spent the time sorting the good from the evil for us ahead of time, and that's not our job to waste our time with. . . Well I am digressing.
We have to be careful with what we recommend to others because of the problems that can be therein.
That's how it is with so many things really.
He apparently made himself a role model for how to go to Hell when you die, and defying morals as an author.. But rather than speak about him and his problems..
It's just this forum is about saints' quotes, not famous entertainment authors, or people famous for defying the Church. They have plenty of their own forums.
Here try for purity and care with sources! If you find a good quote, check the source first before posting it to see if there were problems with it!
I should put this in the guideline so everyone knows. It's not that it's absolutely verboten to say quote him, but hmm.. the context has to right.. and there has to be sufficient good reason.. otherwise.. it's off the subject matter.. and could be troublesome.. if everyone starts doing it..
