A Prayer for Daily Neglects

Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Sacred Heart of Jesus, with all its love, all its sufferings and all its merits.

First, to expiate all the sins I have committed this day and during all my life.

Glory be. . .

Second, to purify the good I have done poorly this day and during all my life.

Glory be. . .

Third, to supply for the good I ought to have done, and that I have neglected this day and all my life.

Glory be. . .

A Poor Clare, who just died, appeared to her Abbess who was praying for her, and said to her: "I went straight to heaven, for, by means of this prayer, recited every evening, I paid all my debts."

This is so very meaningful a prayer to me. My sins of omission, since I live alone, must be on the order of one every minute or two.

I absolutely love this prayer!  My daughter made each of us prayer cards with the prayer on
one side and Jesus with a small child on the other.  Our whole family has been praying it.  I think we will start doing different things for Lent.  Thank you for sharing that great prayer. cross prayer

It's beautiful to think of your family praying it.

I like to hold a religious article when I pray it and kiss it.

There's something about this prayer that just moves a person to love and devotion, and thankfulness.

Have a feeling this sort of offering pleases God very much and makes up for very much. .

May it please God we please Him more and more thoroughly, living in Christ more and more and so rather than being repaired for we help make reparation with Him the more and more!

May the love of God live in our hearts!   Cheesy  angel bell  tiny angel

In my Pieta Prayer Book it says, "A Poor Clare nun, who had just died, appeared to her abbess, who was praying for her, and said to her, "I went straight to heaven, for, by means of this prayer, recited every evening, I paid my debts." cross prayer

An interesting aside, I thought angel blue

I will be writing this out -- I love it!  This will be good to pray every day often.  Thank you!
