Hello,

Today I attended a presentation and veneration of the Saints by Father Carlos Martins.  In a word: awesome.  I"m not sure if we can post links here so I'll give you the web address to Father Martin's ministry: triple w dot treasures of the Church dot com

Father gave a one hour presentation before the veneration.  He is an excellent speaker, evangelist, and obviously a holy priest.  I was expecting the relics of a few saints but there were over 150 accessible for veneration, touch, pictures, and prayer.  There was a large piece of the True Cross, Manger, and a piece of Mary's veil and St. Joseph's cloak.  As for the Saints...pick one.  The Apostles, Martyrs, many Popes, Bishops, and popular Saints such as St. Patrick, St. Anthony, St. Mary Magdelain, St. Jude, and many more.

This was a profound experience for myself and my wife.  If you ever get a chance to see this exposition I whole heartedly encourage you to do so.  There have been miracles from it.

May God bless you all,

Thanks. I went to the site. Unfortunately there does not seem to be an exposition close to my area. I would do anything to be able to go to one of them though. Sad  I think it requires authorization from the parish priest.

I imagine the process is to have your pastor contact Father Martins to schedule.  There is no cost to the parish.

I have an idea. I could ask the director of RCIC to talk to the parish priest about this.  He would listen to her since he probably knows her.  It would be a big blessing to the parish if this happened. I'm excited. littlewings

This reminds me of the International Crusade for Holy Relics, have you heard of them? Cheesy

The regulations on links are in the announcements, do read them! Basically they're not to be used, except in extraordinary circumstances with moderator approval. Moderators too will use them rarely. Just give the name of the organization and quote/tell in your own words what you want to tell instead. Cheesy  Not a link, not a web address, just the name of the place.

People can find out about things further from there if they wish to.

Links can change over time, and while the website may have some good content it normally also has bad, and this includes many religious websites. When links are used sometimes they'll later be expired and removed over time by moderatoion to prevent later on, say, the website no longer being in use, it linking to a placeholder or other troublesome sites.

We are going back tomorrow night.  There were so many relics and so many people wanting to see them it was almost too much.  Plus, why not go back and see them because who knows when an opportunity like this will come along again.  Yesterday I touched two of my Rosaries and my Brown Scapular to the relics so maybe tomorrow I'll bring another devotional item or two.

Father spoke specifically about a couple saints, most notably St. Marie Goretti.  Her story is remarkable.

Yes, she reminds me of St. Dymphna.

Time spent there is definitely time well spent.

If you know of anyone who would take good care of a 3rd class relic gift, that's the place to go no?

I remember in the beginning I gathered a few of these. The ICHR helped that way.

Since my move they are packed away. I should like to bring them out again and look over them.
