Please pray for my daughter who, they found out, doesn't have strep after-all (cultures negative for anything bacterial), but apparently her tonsils are worse than the doctors have ever seen before and somewhat blocking her airway. They told her that if they got very much bigger that she should go to the ER for s special med to either bring down her tonsils or an emergency tonsillectomy. At least she saw (from a distance) her little ones so they don't think mommy doesn't love them anymore.

Praying!  cross prayer

I nearly had my tonsils out at one point! It's rare they'll recommend or do it nowadays!

God keep her!

And you too!  consolation

Lord, look upon Brigid's daughter with eyes of mercy,
may your healing hand rests upon her,
may your life giving powers flow into every cell of her  body
and into the depths of her  soul,
cleansing, purifying, restoring her to wholeness
and strength for service in your Kingdom.
Amen!

Here it is an everyday operation. Any child with recurrent throat infections ( and sometimes even not so recurrent) some doctors just recommend removal.

Yes, don't worry about it Brigid. I've seen many cases where the tonsils were removed to prevent recurring infections. Prayers for you daughter. May she recover soon.  Little Angel

Now they're thinking it's mono. Tonsils are going down a little so airway is a little better, I think. A thirty year-old with children needs to see them, but too tired to think of it. The grandson understands at 6, that sickness doesn't cause anything terrible, but her daughter, at 4, is a little worried. If tests show mono, then it's okay except for the littlest one's fears. Hopefully that will be taken care of soon. Thank you all for your prayers.

I'm so glad it's not mono.  That takes ssssooooooooooo long to recover from.  Perhaps just a bad virus/infection.  That would be good news, yes?
Continued prayers.

Well, tests are finally in - it is mono. At least she's not feeling symptoms except getting tired very easily. Not good with young children - however a taste of being older. She's past the most contagious stage too, so the kids (who usually don't catch it as hard as adolescents and adults) can see her, at least. The youngest one is doing a lot of crying for mommy, but the older one is fine.

Thank you for all your prayers. tiny angel
