Give us fewer options next time, Shin. You're as tough a quizmaster as Brigid.

I guess I will!
The correct answer is E. St. Isidore of Seville!
The clue was that it was about word origins, or etymologies, he is famous for his etymologies.
I don't know whether I'm motivated by this to make it easier or harder. But this next one will be easier!

Y'know all the saints say the same things, just in different words. Could be any one of the four. But I'll go for St. Margaret Mary Alacoque.

'Pray and work.'
1. St. Teresa of Jesus
2. St. Catherine of Bologna
3. St. Benedict
4. St. Augustine
5. St. John of the Cross
....
This one's a famous motto, and so, the one who most made it so, is the appropriate answer.

I would say that is St Benedict.

Well, I can't decide between St. Benedict and St. Augustine.

My advice is ora et labora!

'If no poor could be found in the world, men ought to go in search of them, and dig them up from underground to do them good, and to be merciful to them.'
A. St. Poemen
B. St. John Chrysostom
C. St. John of Avila
D. St. Camillus de Lellis
A memorable quote! If you've heard it before.
The hint is in the vocation of the one who would say it..
