So close, I nearly included a St. Paul of the Cross quote instead of this one! It was a last minute decision. I thought: "Well, who would know it was St. Paul of the Cross?" but in this case, I thought, well, the flora and fauna might be a clue.

Many saints have been quoted on the Blessed Sacrament:
St. Maximilian Kolbe; St. John Vianney, Cure d'Ars etc and both St. Augustine
and St. Francis de Sales.
Saint Augustine?? I do not think so.
Is it Saint Francis then?
If it is him, I will go back to refresh my memory about him because the flora and fauna has not rang any bells  Smiley

"The God who writes his thoughts in the Book of Nature is the same who writes in the Book of Scripture. And those whom He sent to expound to mankind the teachings of the latter have ever loved to illustrate its heavenly doctrine from the pages of the former"
Wow!
Just the introduction; the title and I am hooked.
Beautifully expressed; I think I am going to love this book. I hope the English of the time does not prove to be a problem.
Thanks again Shin for directing me to it. I had not known about it at all  Embarrassed

Near enough so I accept.
I posted it on 19th May, the Memorial of Saint Theophilus of Corte.
According to my source, it means ‘friend of God’, which makes it a  great name to have.
congratulations martin.
