Laughing God.

Good morning Lord.
Since we humans laugh,
you must have that ability too.
But laughing involves the incongruous,
the silliness of non-matching ideas.
You know. Penguins looking like men in tuxedos;
a child thinking you live in the bathroom
because Dad pounds on the door each morning :
God! Are you still in there?"
I love to believe You get a kick out of us,
that You too see the humor in our lives,
that You appreciate
our lighthearted moments.
Amen!

I like to think of how much He laughs at and with us (when we laugh at ourselves, that is). Maybe that would be a way to not take ourselves too seriously when we goof (not a mortal sin) - to think of Him laughing at our doing that.

Yes, God does laugh.
Did He not create us in His own image?
And isn't "Laughter the best medicine"?
It is the kind of questions kids are prone to startle one with.
Seemingly out of the blue, eyes wide and innocently staring at you,anxiously
waiting  for answers, kids ask questions like "Does God Laugh?" 
Yes, God laughs, you  quickly reassure him.
The kid smiles;  he is happy.
