a little prayer for me?
«
on:
June 17, 2011, 07:46:35 AM »
If you all think of it, would you send up a little prayer for some health issues I'm having, and that I can get my high cholesterol down with diet instead of meds (too many eggs and not enough oatmeal!!)
I really detest doctoring.
Thank you so much. I value your prayers.
I'm off to Mass now...

I'm in a similar place, Susanna, and hate medication so my prayers will be heartfelt!

May our Lord help you to eat well and get some exercise so you won't have to take medicine for high cholesterol. May you pray a lot to God, trust in him and be abandoned to his merciful love. Amen.

Holy Mary,
Help of those in need,
give strength to the weak,
comfort the sorrowful,
pray for God's people,
assist the clergy,
intercede for the religious.
May we who seek your help,
experience your unfailing protection.
Amen.

Dear Susanna, may our Lord help you to remember to take cinnamon with your meals. My friend told me she got her cholesterol down with cinnamon. You are in my prayers.

Our Father,
who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come;
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen!

Almighty and merciful Father,
If it be your Holy Will,
drive away from Susanna,
all forms of sickness and disease.
Restore strength to her body and joy to her spirit,
so that in her renewed health,
she may bless and serve you,
now and forever.
Amen!
