'When temptation comes, a man should remember the sweetnesses he has had in prayer at other times, and he will thus easily master the temptation.'

St Anthony Mary Claret once happened to visit a woman at her home and soon realized her intentions were not good.
He did something better than say 'No'.  He FLED.   Grin   I love this saint!

It says a lot about those types of temptation; even the saints did not stand and fight.

So did Joseph in Genesis. He fled from Potiphar's Wife leaving his garment behind.
In fact that is the best option.

Ha ha you all sound like saints!

That is what they say, the answer is flight!

'While still living in the palace, Abba Arsenius prayed to God in these words, 'Lord, lead me in the way of salvation.' And a voice came saying to him, 'Arsenius, flee from men and you will be saved.'

'Having withdrawn to the solitary life he made the same prayer again and he heard a voice saying to him, 'Arsenius, flee, be silent, pray always, for these are the source of sinlessness.'

- sayings of the desert fathers

'O virgins be wise to maintain yourselves as you are; flee the sight of man!'
