For this quiz, it will be guessing which saint the prayer is from. . . tiny angel

Act of Spiritual Communion

Jesus Christ my Savior,
I believe that Thou
art present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love Thee above all things
and I desire Thee in my soul.
Since I cannot now
receive Thee sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart.
As though thou wert already there,
I embrace Thee and unite myself wholly to Thee;
permit not that I should ever be separated from Thee.

Amen.

And now for the quiz. This prayer is from... who?

A. St. Ignatius of Loyola
B. Pope St. Gregory the Great
C. St. Alphonsus Maria de Liguori.
D. St. Theresa of Avila.
E. St. Catherine of Genoa

Answer in invisible ink below! Cheesy

The splendid thing about this quiz is to pray each prayer as well as guess the saint!

An Offering of the Hearts of Jesus and Mary

O Jesus, only Son of God, only Son of Mary,
I offer Thee the most loving Heart of Thy divine Mother
which is more precious and pleasing to Thee than all hearts.
O Mary, Mother of Jesus,
I offer Thee the most adorable Heart of Thy well-beloved Son,
who is the life and love and joy of Thy Heart.
Blessed be the Most Loving Heart
and Sweet Name of Our Lord Jesus Christ
and the most glorious
Virgin Mary, His Mother,
in eternity and forever.

Amen.

And now for the quiz. This prayer is from... who?

A. St. Therese of the Child Jesus
B. St. Thomas Aquinas
C. Pope St. Pius X
D. St. Gertrude the Great
E. St. Jean Eudes

It sounds like a prayer any one of those great saints would have prayed.
I'm wavering mostly between St. Pius X and St. Jean Eudes.

Brigid? Where are you?  Grin

Since James OP sounds more confident than Martin, I will go with St. Jean Eudes too!  big grin

A real treasure, no James?

And here is the next quiz question. . .

The Heavenly Banquet

I would like to have the men of Heaven in my own house;
with vats of good cheer laid out for them.
I would like to have the three Mary's,
their fame is so great.
I would like people from every corner of Heaven.
I would like them to be cheerful in their drinking.
I would like to have Jesus sitting here among them.
I would like a great lake of beer for the King of Kings.
I would like to be watching Heaven's family
Drinking it through all eternity.

. . .

Haha! A memorable one if you know it! Who is it attributed to?  Grin

A. St. Columba
B. St. Catherine of Bologna
C. St. Margaret of Cortona
D. St. Brigid of Ireland
E. St. Jane Frances de Chantal
