Jesus,
You suffered and died for us.
You understand suffering.
Teach us to understand our sufferings as You do;
to bear it in union with You;
to offer it with You to atone for our sins
and to bring your grace to souls in need.
Calm our fears Lord;
increase our trust in You.
May we gladly accept Your Holy Will and become more like You in trials.
If it be your Will Lord, restore Apollo to health
so that he may work for your honor and glory and the salvation of all.

may your healing hand rests upon him
may your life giving powers flow into every cell of his body
and into the depths of his soul,
cleansing, purifying, restoring him to wholeness
and strength for service in your Kingdom.
