Two 'v's !
I'm glad you liked them! I have some more if no one else comes up with any first!

Something there is which lives only in winter,
would die in summer, and grows with its root upwards?
Icicles.
What bird is a child's plaything?
A kite.
What precious stone is like a gate?
Agate!

You know this riddle reminds me of those hanging pot plants that grow tomatoes and other plants upside down. A very strange system, yet, some say it works very well.
But I don't think this riddle has to do with anything green.

Thank you, Sir , for this very helpful hint. I've been obsessing about upside down trees growing in winter for a whole day now!
But I'll be back. Never fear.

Winter! Haha! You're on the right track!
When in doubt, a child might know the answer!
Have a fine day!
Upside down trees.. It certainly provides food for thought!

I'm thinking...fire....fireplace something close to that.
Am I on the the right track? It's amazing how many inspiring thoughts one gets while chopping veggies!

Fire and fireplaces? It's just the opposite.

I'm still in kindergarten while Patricia has zoomed on to college.
Boy these riddles are tough.
That's the first time I've used the confused smilie and it was me who previously placed him on the chopping block. Glad now you didn't bring the axe down Shin.

If you only saw the number of hints Shin has to help me with. It's pathetic!

I enjoy giving hints. It's like having extra riddles.
I pray you don't get exhausted from all the hard work Martin! It's great to see you when you can rest for a little bit here in good company.

Even the riddles are meant for mental relaxation, not mental agony!
