Neither legs nor arms have I.
I can neither scoop with a spoon.
Nor cut with a knife.
When it comes to a fork,
It is as easy as pie
for I eat with one everyday.
Have we met by any chance? Do you know me?

The only thing I can think of is that a snake has a forked tongue and eats with it in his mouth every day...

And you have hit it right on the head RachelKH. Congratulations!
It is indeed the infernal snake, legless, condemned to crawl on its belly and has a fork for a tonue

I know, with a wild goose chase like "I can neither scoop with a spoon" thrown in for good measure

ok...
You are trapped in a room with no way out.
All you have with you is a baseball bat and a baseball.
How do you get out?
How do you measure short to make it more long than long?
When is the only time yesterday comes after tomorrow?
A man went to start his bath but just has he started to take off his clothes he realized the door had locked itself. There were no windows and the bathroom is flooding fast!. How does he prevent himself from drowning?

I keep batting until someone comes to investigate the noise

A man went to start his bath..fair enough. The tap was not running or anything.
He starts to take off his cloth.. Funny, he did not even lock the door before starting to take off his cloth, then lo! the door locked;
again lo! the bathroom is flooding
How come? He did not even turn on the tap; Not withstanding, why not just reach out and turn off the tap?
