Here is a link to 101 Quotations from Our Lord, the Holy Scriptures, and the Saints, on the Fewness of the Saved.

Fewness  - One Hundred and One Texts

To remind folks that it's here for one's Lenten reading, or for any time. A reminder about how we need to truly love God, not merely with wishful thinking, but with our wills. We must live virtuously, pursue Christ's virtue, in a Christian life.

We cannot serve two masters. We must give up on the world and live as Christians -- for Christ, not for earth.

Ashes to ashes, dust to dust.

'If you wish to find the way that leads to life, look for it in the Way who says, "I am the way, the door, the truth and the life" (John 10:7; 14:6), and there you will find it. Only let your search be diligent and painstaking, for "few there are that find it" (Matt. 7:14) and if you are not among the few you will find yourself with the many.'

St. Maximos the Confessor

'If you desire heaven, you must walk in the way which leads to heaven; if you should walk in the way which leads to hell, you will one day unhappily find yourself there.'

St. Alphonsus Maria de Liguori

'Do not be deceived; there are only two roads: one that leads to life and is narrow; the other that leads to death and is wide. There is no middle way.'

St. Louis Marie de Montfort

'The greatest obstacle to salvation and the one in which we should constantly fight lies in this: That some people want to serve God and the world at the same time. To be a little of one, and a little of the other. And then the work of salvation is not only difficult, but impossible.

Living in that way satisfies no one. The person in question feels the weight and yoke of the world and the weight of the yoke of the Lord and loses the wages and reward from both sides.'

St. Joseph Cafasso

'Since their eternal happiness, consisting in the vision of God, exceeds the common state of nature, and especially in so far as this is deprived of grace through the corruption of original sin, those who are saved are in the minority. In this especially, however, appears the mercy of God, that He has chosen some for that salvation, from which very many in accordance with the common course and tendency of nature fall short.'

St. Thomas Aquinas

'Do not be surprised at what I say. If the wisest man in the world could count up how many souls fall into hell each day, they would outnumber the sands of the sea or the pebbles on the shore. This is a matter of justice, because these souls have separated themselves from their Lord and God.

I am saying this so that the devil's numbers may decrease, and the danger become known, and my army be filled up. If only they would listen and come to their senses!'

The Lord, to St. Bridget of Sweden

Christ grant we may live truly virtuous lives.

Not in ourselves, O Lord, but in Thee do we trust.

Lord have mercy on poor sinners. Lord have mercy on us poor sinners.

Kyrie eleison. Christi eleison. Kyrie eleison.

How many times has He warned us and even through the Saints! Yet we go merrily our own way not knowing what lies ahead.  Act of God

And from Saintsquotes

'It is a great source of joy for Satan to see a soul rushing on heedlessly and deaf to the warnings which would restrain it; for as much as its pretensions are exaggerated, so great will be its fall.'

Thanks Patricia! That's a memorable one!

It reminds me of the term 'culpable ignorance'!
