This thread and my foregoing post somehow appeared on my screen when I posted tonight about the Poor Clare book of Easter (and other) meditations.  This seems an Amazing Coincidence (#222), especially because I brought to camp both my AC book and Marcelle Auclair's Teresa of Avila.  Please pray for me, I hope you hear/read something worthwhile from me soon.

The incredible sense of being called not just to this thread on the Interior Castle, but also to the life, writings, and Sainthood of Mother Teresa continues to fascinate me.  In the 32 years since my conversion and confirmation to Catholicism, I've been surprisingly consistent in almost daily reading of both a summary of the life of the Saint of the day, and also further reading in a Saints biography or other historical book, usually about the founders of Orders, Popes, or Doctors of the Church.  But I think I have never been nearly as captivated by the life of a Holy Woman other than our Holy Mother Mary and the celebrations of Her Apparitions.  At first the call was to the biography of Lucia at Fatima.  Somehow, I could not stop reading; I read almost every page of the small book in two days, and I was reading as well several of my Fatima books even while we were packing to come to camp.  Yet this thread called me to St Teresa, and I've been alternating between the thread and the Auclair biography of St Teresa.
