The prophets wanted to encourage people of faith to return to God, to repent of past sins,
to recognize God's presence even in their difficulties.

Nahun is one of the prophets.
The name "Nahun" means comfort or consolation.
His book is a message of destruction for Nineveh.
That would have been a message of consolation for the nations Nineveh had oppressed.

Habakkuk was one of the minor prophets in the Old Testament.
In the first part of the first chapter of The Book of Habakkuk, the prophet Habakkuk
questions the working of God: "O LORD, how long shall I cry for help, and you will not hear?"

Did the prophet Habakkuk feel that the Lord God had abandoned the person?

The purpose of the Book of the Prophet Zephaniah was to show that God raised up his
prophet Zephaniah to proclaim a warning of coming judgement and to encourage repentance.

Both Malachi Chapter 3 and Zephaniah Chapter 3 are promises of restoration in the midst of and in reaction to judgment.

The Book of Obadiah has been placed right after Joel and Amos to expand upon the very promises
about the hope of God's Kingdom over all the nations.

Baruch Chapter 3 Verses 20-21

Later generations have seen the light,
have dwelt in the land.
But the way to understanding they have not known,
they have not perceived her paths, or reached her;
their offspring were far from the way to her.

The Book of the Prophet Micah Chapter 5 Verse 1
But you, Bethlehem-Ephratah,
too small to be among the clans of Judah,
From you shall come forth for me
one who is to be ruler in Israel;
Whose origin is from of old,
from ancient times.

Zechariah is a contemporary of the prophets Ezekiel and Jeremiah.
Zechariah is the eleventh of the Minor Prophets, the last twelve books of the Old Testament.
