Malachi was a prophet of God sent to the Jews who had resetltled in Judea and to all Israel in general. The prophet Malachi issued a warning to the Israelites about their unacceptable stewardship.

Haggai was a Hebrew prophet who advocated that the Temple in Jerusalem be rebuilt. His names means "my holidays".

The purpose of the Book of the Prophet Zephaniah was to show that God raised up his prophet Zephaniah to proclaim a warning of coming judgement and to encourage repentance.

Both Malachi Chapter 3 and Zephaniah Chapter 3 are promises of restoration in the midst of and in reaction to judgment.

Zechariah is a contemporary of the prophets Ezekiel and Jeremiah. Zechariah is the eleventh of the Minor Prophets, the last twelve books of the Old Testament.
